The VirtualTourist Local Merchant Program is a great way to showcase your travel business for FREE. It's great for VT users too because they get special discount from the Local Merchants who list their businesses here.

It's simple. You create an Advertising webpage using our simple templates. We list the Ad in a special deals section for your location. In exchange for the free listing, you must offer VT users a discount. You get a free listing and VT users get a discount on your service. Everyone is happy!

No. It's 100% FREE to list your travel business. However, you must proivde a substantial discount for VT members. The better the discount, the better your chances of success.

>You must provide a real discount for VT users and honor it. For example, an acceptable discount would be '15% off the market rate for a hotel room' and an unacceptable discount would be '15% off the high season rate for a room, during the slow season'. Merchants who post fake or
misleading discounts will be banned.

>You must select a city to present your business. All postings must be tied to a specific city. International businesses, webpages, or
agencies are not allowed.

>You must be a Local Merchant offering a specific Travel related service.

>You must agree to all terms of the VT Local Merchant User Agreement.

The program is for Local Businesses only. Therefor you must select a city at which your ad will be listed. Websites, international businesses, or blanket travel services will not be included. When you choose a city, you listing is also shown on the appropriate City and Country. For example, listing your business in Los Angeles means you'll automatically get listed in California and the United States.

Your Ad consists of a webpage listing including descriptions, pictures, links, and contact information. You can also add an Advertising Supplement that gives more pictures and more details.

YES. You don't have to know anything about webpages. If you can browse a webpage (and you're here) then you can build a Local Merchant Ad in less that 5 minutes.

Yes. You can't publish your page without a discount. The better the discount, the better the placement. VT reserves the right to remove pages with insignifcant or fraudulent discounts.
