London locator map!
I had the opportunity to visit London in February en route to Spain. Because of the protest in the city center regarding the potential war in Iraq I was diverted to Windsor Castle. It turned out to be a real treat. The queen was actually in that day and it was pleasant strolling around the castle.

To be correct while it is a short distance from London the Windsor Castle is actually located in Windsor.

Please be sure to rate my tips and leave your comments :-) !!
Me getting my picture taken with a gaurd.

Guards

It is kinda neat getting to see all the gaurds roaming the castle. I think it is fair they say they are more for show I guess these days.

He didn't move while I took this snap. I am not sure if that is good etiquitte or not?
Me overlooking the Thames River

The Thames

The Thames is a great river, in my location in this picture just down the road from the Windor Castle, enroute to Eton College there were a lot of Swans in the river which was neat and they are all owned by the Queen apparently!

Here are some sites all for the Thames!

Good page Jamie - pity about the protest & yes you're right - The Queen owns all swans in the UK - but don't tell the swans they too think they're free!!

Cats in the pub at lunchtime? Might be a little crunchy.
