My name is Anna and I' m northern girl. Thats because I was born quite in the north of Russia, in the region of thousands lakes and forests called Karelia (or Karjala). It is very beautiful area with nice and open people. My hometown Petrozavodsk is located at the lake of Onego, the second largest in Europe. After long stay away and travels, it is sooo nice to come back home. I just adore white nights in summer, when it doesnt really get dark and you can enjoy that special light, which is known only in the north. I cannot imagine my life without winter with frost and much snow. If it were always summer, wouldnt it be too boring? And of course nowhere else you will find this quiet harmony of northern nature, which makes you feel so nice.... |  | The day of the town is always a very special day of the year. It is time when the whole town goes celebrating. It starts already in the morning with concerts, sports competitions and markets where you can buy everything. And ends late in the evening with discos everythere and a big firewerk!!! It is not true, that northern people are cold and cannot party! |
As I grew up up in the absolutely flat region, mountains were always something special for me. I remember how much I was impressed by mountain landscape in Norway and later in Austria, in Tirol, where mountains are just everywhere and so amazing! | | One of the best countries for me to stay is Finnland. I used to go there during last years for summer holidays and work, usually with a crowd of friends. And we always had just fantastic time together! I am an absolute fan of finnish sauna and finnish rock and metal (Nightwish, Apocalyptica, Sonata Arctica, Poets of the Fall). Finnland rocks!!! |
At the moment my city number 1 is Amsterdam. I have already been there twice (last time in November) and it made both times un incredible impression on me! Atmosphere, city life, people, sights, channels, everything! I am just in love with Amsterdam. | | |
| | I adore sea...to smell it, to listen to the sound of waves, to walk along the coastline and to bath there of course:-)
This year when I was at the sea bathing I met the real delphin!!! He was jumping around us. It was unforgetable!!! |
I like being active and doing sports. When I was studying at the university I was playing for uni-basketball team. It was great time! I got many friends! Unfortunately since that time I havent trained much. But if I get an opportunity to throw ball into basket, I cannot resist :-) | | | Me nordic skiing in the mountains |
