  • Public transport is pretty much non too existant here, hitch hiking is very common on the main roads to Kourou and Cayenne, expect to pay someone who stops about 5 euros from Kourou to Cayenne, alternatively, small buses (rascals etc) called 'collectifs' stop if they see you and you can expect to pay 10 euros for the same journey. Car rental is readily available I would imagine the prices are the same as europe. There are no trains here.
    Be Warned: If you rent a car and want to go off the beaten track, rent a 4X4 as the roads detiorate rapidly.
    Hitch Hiking at night is dangerous.
